CHEESE Scones
A PERFECT accompaniment to a hearty soup!
ingredients

225g self-raising flour

1 tsp baking powder

75g grated cheese, a strong cheddar works well but a blue such as Stilton or Red Leicester is nice too

50ml Mountain Produce Cold Pressed Rapeseed Oil

125ml semi-skimmed milk
HOW TO MAKE....

Preheat the oven to 220°C, gas mark 7.

Place the flour, baking powder and cheese in a bowl.

Mix in the oil and milk to form a slightly sticky dough.

Divide into 8 equal pieces and roll into balls, the balls should be similar size and shape to cook evenly.

Place the balls on a greased baking tray IN a flower shape, pressing down the top slightly to flatten them out.

Brush with milk.

Bake in the centre of the oven for 12-15 minutes until golden, let them cool slightly before enjoying warm with butter.
